STAIRWAY TO THE MOON (Lyrics)

Featuring

MOON ECLIPSE PHOTOS

TAKEN SEPTEMBER 27, 2015

Today on Carolyn’s Online Magazine I’m featuring a guest writer, Alan Gembola, author of a song lyrics book Silver & Leather*. Alan is from Buffalo, New York.

On September 27, 2015, at about 10:10 p.m. I attempted to take photos of the eclipse and red moon. Between my camera settings being messed up and the cloudy night I didn’t manage much. This is my meager shot:

Several pictures showed up on FaceBook, so I gathered permission to feature photographers Cameron Clark (Ligonier, PA), Sally Lipsius (Blaisdell, N. Y.), Cynthia Lipsius (Buffalo, N. Y.), Erin Ireland (Searsport, ME), and Erica Lynn (New Jersey)

Alan Gembola wrote his song for all you moon lovers . . .

As I take each step with you We’ll make our lunar landing soon

(2) I’m on a Stairway To The Moon Brilliant hues of greenish blues

As I take each turn with you We’ll make our solar rendezvous

  1. Cynthia Lipsius says:

    Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for posting this and also for including the information on Alan’s book. The heart-shaped moon picture was actually taken by me just before the eclipse started. I did not realize the little bit of cloud cover had created the heart shape until I reviewed the pictures later. Alan worked his magic to crop the picture as I had also captured part of our satelite dish in the pic.

Amazing pics! We watched the eclipse for a short time before clouds obscured our view… 😀
