PHOTOGRAPHING A FERRIS WHEEL

FROM MANY DIFFERENT ANGLES

Is a Ferris wheel a stationary object? I’m not certain—unless, of course, it’s not moving.

The WordPress photo challenge for August 28, 2015, is to experiment photographing a stationary object from different angles (it suggests a person, piece of fruit or a toy).

Today, August 29, my husband Monte and I spent most of the day at Idlewild Amusement Park in the Ligonier Valley, Pennsylvania. It’s voted the “best kids park in the world.” While there I shot the Ferris wheel from many angles—I believe the shots below were taken while the wheel was stationary. Some were taken from the ground. Others were taken while we were on the beast.

The WordPress prompt suggested we post three shots. As usual, I don’t listen. The first three would fulfill their request—the others are a bonus.
