Carolyn’s Online Magazine (COMe)

The WordPress photo challenge for February 6, 2015, asked us to share an image that highlights scale (size relationship). My files held the following photographs:

In this photograph of Chicago’s Cloud Gate: a.k.a. “The Bean” people are shown to be miniscule in relationship to The Bean, while The Bean is appears miniscule against the skyscrapers.

I stood inside the tide-created caves while Monte photographed me (see Sunset Photos at THE OVENS on Mt. Desert Island, Maine ). When you visit this beach backed by waters of The Narrows and the 60-foot cliffs (Mt. Desert Island) of The Ovens, you must be off the beach before high tide or…well, I’ll let you imagine what would happen to you. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis must be a toy dinosaur, else how would it appear to be the same size as the butterfly? Taken at the Laurel Mountain Borough, Pennsylvania, pool. DSC03869E2On January 13, 2001, the depth of the snow in Laurel Mountain Borough, Pennsylvania, is demonstrated on a red Christmas tree ornament.

Skyscraper window washers appear quite small as they ply their daring trade. 110307 IMG_7588E2The bugs appear miniscule on this sunflower.080924 IMG_6150E
